Sony announced the launch of the KD-65Z9D TV in India today boasting of advanced 4K HDR Processor X1 technology. The company claims that it delivers an advanced viewing experience by reproducing deeper blacks and brighter whites to exhibit realistic colours and details.
The 4K HDR processor combined with Backlight Master Drive, a unique backlight technology, help achieve amazing contrast and highly accurate wide colour expression. It incorporates 3 new technologies which include Super Bit Mapping 4K HDR, object based HDR remaster and dual database processing. Sony has mentioned that these 3 components combine to provide the ultimate 4K HDR visual experience and it also upscales standard dynamic range HD content to near 4K HDR quality from a variety of sources like internet streaming, HDMI and USB.
The device is running on Android TV based on v6.0 aka Marshmallow with Sony’s exclusive user interface. It comes with an upgraded voice search function enabling users to search for their favourite channel by just saying it out loud.
Priced at Rs.5,04,900, the new KD-65Z9D will be sold at select Sony Centers and electronic stores across the country. It is available for pre-booking right now.
