As promised by Moto last month during the G5 Plus launch, the regular G5 variant has been unveiled for the Indian market. The G5 is the successor the the G4 from last year.
Unlike the G5 Plus, the G5 doesn’t fully embrace aluminium instead opting to use it only for the removable back cover. The rear camera packs in Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF), f/2.0 aperture, LED flash while the front camera uses a wide angle lens designed for group selfies. The software further supports it with signature Best Shot software, beautification mode and professional mode. The fingerprint sensor located at the front also doubles as an all-in-one navigator although back, home and overview buttons can be toggled to display on the screen.
The relatively new Moto Experiences makes an appearance here as well. Moto Display gives a preview of notifications, updates and even music playback control without the need to unlock while Actions brings back the gesture based actions. Amazon prime video and a widget for displaying the daily deals are pre-loaded on the G5.
Priced at Rs.11,999, the G5 will go on sale from midnight (5 April, 2017) exclusively on Amazon India. There are special launch offers valid only from 5-6 April 2017 entailing cashback, extra discount and more.
