IoT startup Smartron has unveiled its first smartphone called the tphone at an event in the country. The dual-SIM Android Marshmallow device runs on the tronx UI, which gives access to services like t.cloud, t.care and t.store. The t.cloud lets tphone owners store unlimited data on the web.
The screen of the tphone uses Apical Assertive Display technology, leading to better sunlight readability. The rear camera comes with an Isocell sensor and the front camera offers a 2µm pixel size for improved low light performance.
Priced at Rs 22,999, the smartphone will be sold exclusively via Gadgets 360 from June. However, a user needs to register before being able to purchase the device. Registration is open for a limited period only.
