LG has teased the existence of a new Bluetooth speaker dubbed the PJ9 ahead of CES 2017. What’s unexpected about it is that it can float in mid air – novelty LG wants to cash in on.
According to the company, the PJ9 speaker comes with a Levitation Station fitted with electromagnets allowing it to float mid air atop the station. While this already been attempted by companies like ICE and Air2, what’s different here is how the device is charged. When it runs low on battery, the PJ9 automatically docks on the Levitation Station and charges wirelessly. On a full charge, it can run for around 10 hours.
It has a 360 degree omni-directional speaker design and IPX7 compliance ensures that it can withstand immersion in water upto 1 meter for 30 minutes. Multipoint technology allows users to connect two Bluetooth devices concurrently.
Pricing and further details will be revealed at CES 2017.
