The Dell XPS 13 has been one of our favourite laptops, and now they have updated the 2020 edition with refined aesthetics and improved performance.
Staying true to its roots, this 13.4-incher is designed to fit in an 11-inch notebook body that boasts an InfinityEdge display with a screen-to-body ratio of 91.5% and protected edge-to-edge by Corning Gorilla Glass 6. If that’s not enough, the screen supports 4K+ resolution with HDR and Dolby Vision support, 100% sRGB and 90% DCI-P3 colour gamut for lifelike colours and picture quality.
XPS 13 is all about class, which is why the notebook is crafted from premium materials for aesthetics and also at the same time, for durability and reliability. Cut from two blocks of aluminium, the XPS 13 is sculpted by CNC machining process and features double-anodised side edges allowing for nearly bezel-less display. The choice of colour also influences XPS 13’s design with the dark variant featuring carbon fiber palm rest for superior heat-resistance or arctic white woven glass fiber for the white variant.
Performance-wise, the Dell XPS 13 packs enough grunt with Intel’s 10th Gen Core i5 or Core i7 processor and up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM with up to 1TB SSD storage. On the connectivity front, there’s Killer Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5 and two Thunderbolt 3 Type-C ports that grace on either side with a 3.5mm headphone jack and microSD card reader. Running Windows 10, the Dell XPS 13 promises an all-day battery life with up to 18 hours on a single charge with a Full HD+ display or over 12 hours with UHD+.
