Honor 10 Lite was launched at an event in the capital today. Unveiled late last year (November 2018) in China , 10 Lite is the scaled down version of Honor 10 which was the affordable flagship sold by the Huawei sub-brand.
Sporting a water-drop notch, the FHD+ display has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 90% screen-to-body ratio. The gradient design on the back panel has 8 layers of protection that include UV curtain coating, 3D composite, Silkscreen printing, Colorization, Grate texture transfer printing, Electroplating, Ink base layer and High pressure molding. Internally, it is running on HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC paired with 4GB RAM/6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The Mali-G51 GPU comes with GPU Turbo 2.0 technology that is said to reduce lagging and frame drops while gaming.
This is the first device from Honor to ship Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9 out of the box. New features include AI Shopping, Calorie Detection, AI Enhanced calls, Wi-Fi Bridge, Paytm Pay, App Assistant, Dual VoLTE, AI Smart Face Unlock, Smart Fingerprint, Smart Triple Bluetooth Connection, Ride Mode and Party Mode.
On the rear is the fingerprint sensor and a dual camera setup consisting of 13MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP secondary sensor. It uses advanced semantic segmentation that can help recognise different objects via scene recognition and make adjustments that fit best according to the various scenarios. The 24MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture uses 4-in-1 light fusion and exposure compensation technology said to offer impressive selfie performance in both day and night lighting. It also boasts of 3D Portrait Lighting shots and quality Groupfies. AI further bolsters the clicked image output.
Available in 3 colour variants that include Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue and Sky Blue priced at ₹13,999 (4GB RAM) and ₹17,999 (6GB RAM), Honor 10 Lite will go on sale from 20 January at 12AM on Flipkart and Hihonor.in. Launch offers including a Jio cashback worth ₹2,200 and a ₹2,800 Cleartrip voucher.
