A lot has been seen and written about Apple’s upcoming smartphones and the Cupertino giant has finally unveiled them. First up
The iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max features glass at the front and back and adheres to the IP68 rating that protects the device against liquid spills and dust.
Camera-wise, we’re looking at a 12MP dual camera system at the back with OIS, 2x optical zoom, improved portrait mode and depth control to adjust the depth of field.
Face ID is now faster, improved AR performance and battery life, and for the first time dual-SIM support, which includes one physical SIM slot and an e-SIM slot.
The iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max will go on sale in India from September 28 at a price starting from Rs. 99,900 for the iPhone XS and from Rs. 1,09,900 for the iPhone XS Max.
The third iPhone to be announced is the iPhone XR and while it’s the cheapest off the lot, it’s still pricey compared many other flagship phones available in the market.
The iPhone XR is carved out of 7000 series aluminium with a glass back design to enable wireless charging and a choice of colours ranging from simple white to flashy yellow or coral.
The iPhone XR boasts a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina display and loses Apple’s 3D Touch but retains the True Tone support for natural looking colours. Its also powered by A12 Bionic chip that results in a better performance along with faster Face ID unlocks and better security.
The phone is rated to last “1.5 hours more than the iPhone 8 Plus” and comes with a single 12MP camera but supports software-based portrait mode and depth control.
The iPhone XR will also be a dual-SIM device with the second slot as an e-SIM and start selling in India from October 26 at Rs. 76,900.
