In addition to bringing the Snapdragon 835 for mobile devices, the new Qualcomm chip will also power a lot of wearables, including these smartglasses from ODG. The R-8 and the R-9 smartglasses are powered by Snapdragon 835 with the R-8 going for the consumer crowd whereas R-9 trying to please the early adopters.
The R-8 boasts a 40-degree FOV and HD resolution and comes in a lighter and smaller package. The R-9 on the other hand are slightly bigger with a 50-degree FOV and Full HD resolution.
Both smartglasses run Android Nougat and support 4K video playback at 60 fps and HDR support.
There’s no information on the availability but the R-8 is expected to sell around the $1000 price range whereas the the R-9 around $1600.
