The flagship ultra portable ZenBook 3 from Asus has finally been launched in India. It is one of the first ultrabooks to be equipped with the latest 7th Gen Kaby Lake Intel Core processor.
The ZenBook has been completely designed from the ground up and has been packaged into an ultra-sleek 11.9mm chassis weighing 910 grams. But lightweight doesn’t mean less durability as it has been crafted using aerospace-grade aluminium alloy that is said to be 50% stronger than the standard alloy used in laptops. It uses an innovative cooling system featuring the world’s thinnest fan design at just 3mm.
In addition the latest Intel processor, it also has 16GB of 2133MHz RAM, upto 1TB of PCIe Gen 3 x4 SSD, Type-C port and quad-speaker audio setup by Harman Kardon. Coming to the display, a high resolution 12.5″ display having a wide 72% NTSC colour gamutis protected by edge-to-edge covering of scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The usage of a slim bezel design provides 82% screen-to-body ratio. Asus has been able to cram a full size backlit keyboard with 19.8mm key pitch and 0.8mm key travel.
Coming to battery life, the Zenbook 3 provides upto 9 hours of battery life and thanks to fast charge technology, the battery can be charged upto 60% in just 49 minutes. The glass covered precision touchpad has also incorporated palm rejection technology, Smart Gestures and handwriting support for enhanced usability. For security, a built-in fingerprint reader with Windows ‘Hello’ support gives users instant one touch access allowing them to sign in and unlock Zenbook 3 without having to type their password or PIN.
Zenbook 3 has been priced at Rs.1,13,990 for Core i5 with 8GB RAM/512GB storage, Rs.1,23,990 for Core i7 with 8GB RAM/512GB SATA3 storage and Rs.1,47,990 for Core i7 with 16GB RAM/512GB PCIe G3x4 storage. Available in Royal Blue, Rose Gold and Quartz Grey, the ZenBook 3 will be available from 27 November across all Asus Exclusive stores, offline and online retailers.
