Huawei launches 3 smartphones in Honor series
Huawei celebrated its 2nd anniversary in India by officially announcing the Honor 8, Honor 8 Smart and Honor Holly 3 smartphones. The company aims to capture all tiers of the market ranging with its pricing – Honor 8 (Rs. 29,999), Honor 8 Smart (Rs. 19,999) and Honor Holly 3 (Rs. 9,999).
The Honor 8 features a 12MP dual-lens camera comprised of a RGB and monochrome lens that captures more light and is comparable to the top-end P9 from the company. The only difference being the lens here is not from Leica. The front camera works well even in low light making it perfect for 24×7 selfie lovers. Comprising of a double-sided glass design, the Honor 8 is quite a sleek and elegant device. It also packs in a 3D fingerprint scanner for added security using level 4 fingerprint acquisition algorithm .
The Honor 8 Smart has been crafted using aircraft aluminium alloy sporting similar looks to the Honor 8. The rear camera uses a 13 million pixel stack sensor camera of Sony IMX214 which is capable of capturing scene light, adequate dim light details, high light sensitivity and less noise during night shots. The front camera is similar to the one used in Honor 8.
The Honor Holly 3 will be the first ‘Make in India’ smartphone from Huawei. The larger device aims to capture the mass market with its price, large screen size, battery and 3D back cover providing it with an interesting look.
Huawei will also expand its offline distribution network by partnering with more than 50,000 retail outlets by the end of 2016. This network will add to the existing 350+ distributors in India. Currently, Honor 8 is available for purchase online on Amazon, Flipkart and Honor store while the other two devices are coming very soon.
