Now that it is clear that Wii U won’t sell as much as Wii sold in its lifetime, Nintendo is banking on its older products to fill their coffers! The Japanese gaming company has created Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition that is a “near-identical, mini replica of Nintendo’s original home console”. The difference between then and now is the new console can be plugged into newer TVs via the included HDMI cable and the NES Classic Controller when connected to a Wii U or Wii can play Virtual Console NES games on the system.
This console comes loaded with 30 games and according to Kotaku, Nintendo will not offer any new games apart from these 30.
The console goes on sale in the United States from November 11 for $59.99 and since Nintendo doesn’t sell their consoles officially in India, you will have to import this as well, if you’re planning to own one.
