Neverware, a computer refurbishing company has developed Cloudready, a fork of Chromium OS capable of running on old hardware. The OS is light on resources and can help resurrect your obsolete hardware quite easily.
The latest update allows for dual-booting with any MAC or Windows OS which was previously missing from older versions. For installation, an 8GB flash drive is required.
The paid version for institutions provides customer support and training from Neverware – both of which are missing from the free version.
The software can be downloaded for free for personal use here. Check here to see if your hardware is supported.
