Google seems to be expanding its hardware offerings and the latest to join the list of its ever-expanding repertoire is the OnHub router. Developed in collaboration with TP-Link, the router will sell in US and Canada for $200.
OnHub is designed to make the Wi-Fi work faster, be more secure and easy to use. It comes with an innovative circular antenna with 13 hidden antennas to reduce network interference and optimise network connectivity.
Google will also release the Google On app to not just manage the router’s initial setup but even after the router’s up and running with remote troubleshoot and other security features.
Additionally, the router is Bluetooth Smart, Weave and 802.15.4 ready and will update the firmware automatically to keep the network secure.
