At an event in Mumbai, Synology confirmed new developments that will help users to effectively manage their data on the Synology NAS. First up is the new DiskStation Manager (DSM) 7 OS that improves storage management, cloud-based monitoring and issue prevention that proactively alerts the users of any anomalies found during operation and the possible solution. the and hybrid cloud storage support.
The NAS can also take advantage of Synology C2, which is company’s public cloud service and with Hybrid Share, users can use their local NAS to virtually expand the storage space via C2.
Synology also improved on the photo management side and has now merged Photo Station and Synology Moments to introduce Synology Photos that brings in more filters for better cataloging of photos and easy sharing with other users, even those who don’t have a Synology account.
