Review: SanDisk Ultra Fit USB 3.1

With affordable data these days, storing data on the cloud would be the sensible thing to do as it gives access to the data on multiple devices. However, accessing that data from the cloud depends on a number of factors and if you’re a privacy nut like us who wants to store the data locally without taking a lot of space, there’s nothing as reliable as SanDisk Ultra Fit USB flash drives.

It’s a regular USB flash drive that offers storage from 16GB to 256GB but the best part is its tiny form factor. Just plug it in and forget it. We have been using the 64GB variant but all the drives support USB 3.1 (Gen 1), which means faster throughput speeds.

SanDisk claims a read speed of 130MB/s and in our test, the drive averaged around 118-120MB/s. Of course, the drive is still compatible with existing USB 2.0 interface but will transfer at reduced speeds.

As an add-on, SanDisk drives also support SecureAccess software that helps to encrypt data in 128-bit AES encryption and recover deleted data with RescuePRO Deluxe Software, which the user will have to download.
