BenQ Introduces PD Series Monitors

BenQ has introduced its latest PD Series monitors at the VAM Summit, targeting creative professionals such as designers, animators, photographers, and game developers. The lineup, including the 5K PD2730S and the world’s first 4K 144Hz PD3226G, is designed to deliver unparalleled color accuracy, high resolution, and smooth performance, setting new standards for professional-grade displays. The launch event featured insights from Dr. Chris Bai, Senior Colour Expert and manager of BenQ’s Colour Technology Lab, who traveled from Taiwan to discuss advancements in color science and technology tailored for creative workflows.

The PD2730S, a 27-inch 5K (5120 x 2880) Professional Designer Monitor, is crafted for Mac-based designers and artists, particularly those in VFX and gaming scene design. With a pixel density of 218 PPI, it offers 77% more screen area than 4K displays, closely matching the resolution of RAW material for exceptional detail. The monitor boasts a 98% DCI-P3 color gamut, Delta E ≤ 2 for precise color accuracy, and Thunderbolt 4 connectivity for seamless integration with Mac ecosystems. BenQ’s Palette Master Ultimate software and Display ColorTalk ensure consistent color reproduction, making it ideal for color-critical tasks like grading in DaVinci Resolve.

The PD3226G, a 31.5-inch 4K (3840 x 2160) monitor, breaks new ground as the world’s first 4K professional display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Designed for game developers, VFX artists, and motion graphic designers, it combines ultra-smooth visuals with pro-grade color accuracy (95% DCI-P3, Delta E ≤ 2). Equipped with AMD FreeSync Premium and VESA AdaptiveSync, it minimizes lag and ensures fluid UI interactions, especially when paired with drawing tablets or MacBooks. Thunderbolt 4 and a Nano Matte Panel further enhance its versatility, reducing glare while supporting dual 5K or single 8K setups.

The monitors’ ergonomic designs, 12 color modes (including CAD/CAM and Animation), and Mac-compatible features streamline productivity for 3D rendering, VFX production, and game design.

Showcased at the VAM Summit, the PD2730S and PD3226G are now available for pre-order. For more details, visit BenQ’s official website.
