The new OnePlus Nord checks most boxes as being a diverse and new phone offering an impressive camera system and the compatibility with 5G support. The OnePlus Nord will be launched on August 4 but from tomorrow, interested customers can pre-order the smartphone.
Getting right into what it has to offer, the OnePlus Nord is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor and it runs on OnePlus’s smooth and fast OxygenOS 10.5 – also runs on the OnePlus 8 series – and which also has customisable features such as the Dark Mode and Zen Mode. OnePlus claims that the Nord will not only offer improved CPU speeds but will also feature “30% faster graphics rendering than its predecessor, and a dedicated AI engine that helps to deliver peak gaming performance.”
The OnePlus Nord is equipped with a 6.44” Fluid AMOLED display which offers a refresh rate of 90Hz. The screen also offers 2048 levels of auto-brightness adjustment. The Nord houses a 4115mAh battery that charges from 0 to 70% in 30 minutes, through the Warp Charge 30T technology.
When it comes to the cameras, the OnePlus Nord has a quad-camera setup at the rear with a 48MP f/1.75 main camera, which is a Sony IMX586 sensor, striving to assure superior quality of photos. An 8MP Ultra-Wide lens, a macro lens, and a depth sensor make up the remaining of the rear setup.
Nord is also the first smartphones of OnePlus that offers dual front cameras, with a 32MP main camera, capable of recording 4K videos at 60fps. Accompanying the main camera is an 8MP camera that offers a 105-degree field of view. The inbuilt OIS helps with reducing the shake and blur in images.
The OnePlus Nord is available in three RAM/ROM options: the 8GB+128GB, the 12GB+256GB, and the 6GB+64GB for Rs. 27,999, Rs. 29,999 and Rs. 24,999 respectively. The first two will be available from August 4, 2020 in two colours, namely, Gray Onyx and Blue Marble, while the last (6GB+64GB) will be available early September in just the Gray Onyx colour.
The OnePlus Nord does offer features that are very similar to smartphones that are priced lower, but still, the OnePlus Nord does have the upper hand in faster speeds through a powerful processor and 5G (whenever it comes to India). The OnePlus Nord can be pre-ordered on July 22 on OnePlus Experience Stores and on July 28 from Amazon.
