No new Assassin’s Creed this year

February 12, 2016 by Ankush Mahajan

After the successful launch of AC: Syndicate in October last year, Ubisoft is taking a break in 2016 to re-evaluate the franchise and future of the series. They are collating user feedback and have updated their development process with an aim to evolve and refresh existing game mechanics.

This move comes after Ubisoft was criticized for the botched launch of AC: Unity in 2014 which was plagued by numerous issues on all platforms.

An Assassin’s Creed movie starring Michael Fassbender will be making its debut on December 21, 2016. The movie is reported to be set in the video game continuity so expect some references or easter eggs.
